Storage

Your goods are padded, wrapped and stored in a pallet (a large, enclosed crate) in our climate controlled warehouse conveniently located in Burlington. We do not store any dangerous goods including firearms, flammables, explosives or corrosives. If you are not sure whether something can be stored or not, speak to one of our knowledgeable staff members and they will be glad to assist you.

At Perfect Packers, access to your goods is just a phone call away. Our warehouse is fully insured and routinely maintained. We have regular inspections by the fire department to ensure your goods are safe unlike a self-store facility. A self-store facility, although considered more cost effective are in fact not. They are not usually climate controlled and therefore your goods could possibly sustain damage from the fluctuations in both temperature and humidity.

Your goods are not only padded and wrapped, they are placed inside a pallet (a large, enclosed crate) to ensure your shipment stays together and is thoroughly protected. As well Perfect Packers insures the warehouse in addition to any insurance you may already have.

Any items that are deemed dangerous goods including firearms, flammables, explosives, corrosives or propane tanks cannot be stored in our warehouse or moved on the moving truck.

Our warehouse is fully insured through our own insurance and by the building's insurance. Perfect Packers does not charge a premium for this insurance coverage unlike other storage facilities.

A customer can gain access within a maximum of 24 hours by a quick phone call to our office. We are also able to provide pick-up and delivery of your goods to and from our warehouse. Simply call us during business hours to arrange a convenient time.

Insurance

Your goods may already be insured through your own household insurance policy. You are also able to purchase insurance through us. Feel free to call our office should you require further information.

Simply contact the insurance company which carries your homeowner's policy and they can tell you whether you have coverage. You may even be able to purchase a rider on your current policy that extends the policy while the goods are in transit.

Every moving company has different types of insurance available to its' customers. At Perfect Packers, we also have insurance that you can purchase through us. Call us should you have any additional questions.

Packing

No. If you pack the boxes yourself, you assume all liability for the contents of the boxes.

There are many advantages to using professional packers. The services of a professional packer are more cost effective because they are more efficient (reducing packing time), professional packers know how to correctly pack to ensure zero damage occurs, they have the appropriate packing materials and the cost includes all the packing and unpacking. Using the services of a professional packer is overall more efficient than doing the packing yourself. Our staff members possess a wealth of hands on experience therefore ensuring that your packing is fast, efficient and ulimately more cost effective than doing it yourself. Yes. We have a wide variety of both new and used cartons, packing paper, and tape all readily available for purchase from our office.

They are designed for the stress and strain of moving whereas other boxes available have been designed for holding other items. Moving boxes are designed to fit perfectly in the truck; when other boxes are used, it takes longer for the movers to load therefore costing you more in moving costs.

Moving

Relying on family members and friends to help you with your move can be costly both to your friendships and your goods! A professional moving company can work with you to design a move that will suit your budget and they know how to move your goods with zero damage. Perfect Packers is 100% claim free!

Many people consider moving themselves more cost effective but when you analyze the process in its entirety, you may be surprised how much more it does cost. When you rent a moving truck, there are additional costs for the pads, dollies and necessary equipment that are included in the price when you hire a professional moving company. Because rental companies may not always have the appropriately sized truck for your move, you could be forced to make several trips whereas a professional moving company will provide the right truck for your move.

Finding professional, experienced people who will move you for free is virtually impossible not to mention the fact that neither they nor your goods are insured so if breakage occurs, there is no one to take care of your claim. With all of these factors taken into consideration, it makes more sense to hire a professional mover who can do it right! At Perfect Packers we will design a move to suit your budget, using all the appropriate equipment and the right vehicle for your move! Our staff members possess a wealth of hands on experience therefore ensuring that your packing is fast, efficient and ulimately more cost effective than doing it yourself

There are many things you can do to make your move more cost effective including dismantling the larger pieces of furniture prior to the move (these include larger items that cannot be safely moved in their entirety and could include beds and corresponding headboards, dresser mirrors and large desks) and re-assembling them at the new residence if you are not planning on taking advantage of Perfect Packers full packing and moving services.

Ensuring all goods are packed prior to the move will also speed up your move time. Taking down shelves, sconces, pictures or any items affixed to the walls should be completed by the customer. As a safety precaution, lights, ceiling fans, hardwired fixtures and appliances are not handled by Perfect Packers and the customer should remove them themselves or have them done professionally. Some customers choose to have the moving company only move the larger pieces of furniture.
