Local Residential Moving
Local moving can be as simple as moving just a few items within the same building or relocating an entire home or business across town. Perfect Packers can provide whichever service you require.
A full service relocation involves the packing of all of your smaller items into cartons, disassembly of items such as beds, dressers with mirrors, and the loading of these cartons and all of your possessions onto our moving vans. We then drive to your new home or business and unload all items and cartons into the rooms of your choice, unpack the cartons we packed, set up the items we disassembled and remove all cartons and packaging for disposal. This type of move is generally conducted over a one or two day period (size dependant) and is charged at an hourly rate.
A partial move usually involves the moving of items and loading of cartons you have already packed, the delivery of these items to your new home or business and the placement of your items and cartons into the rooms of your choice.

How can I make my move more cost effective?
There are many things you can do to make your move more cost effective including dismantling the larger pieces of furniture prior to the move (these include larger items that cannot be safely moved in their entirety and could include beds and corresponding headboards, dresser mirrors and large desks) and re-assembling them at the new residence if you are not planning on taking advantage of Perfect Packers full packing and moving services. Ensuring all goods are packed prior to the move will also speed up your move time. Taking down shelves, sconces, pictures or any items affixed to the walls should be completed by the customer. As a safety precaution, lights, ceiling fans, hardwired fixtures and appliances are not handled by Perfect Packers and the customer should remove them themselves or have them done professionally. Some customers choose to have the moving company only move the larger pieces of furniture.
